Welcome, minutes and lookback
Babs welcomed everyone to the meeting and summarised the agenda. All committee members were present, no apologies.
Babs recapped our 2022-2023 activities. Then Isobel updated the group on our activities in 2023-2024 including:
- 212+ bags litter picked as well as sundry ponds, paint cans and bathroom suites
- 3 person committee formed
- 4 tonnes pennywort from Ravensbury Lake
- 3,000 bulbs planted
- 4 public events
- 20 landscape artists in the park
- 83 species in our meadow
- our Green Flag Award
Hayley White (Treasurer) shared the projects funded by the Community Fund:
- 2 notice boards
- Wildflower seeds and tools
- High vis
- Hoot in the Park, birds + print
- Elf hunt
Wandle Fortnight
- Funding for art at Hoot in the Park
Donations
- Crowdfunding on Just Giving paid for our trolley and website hosting
And shared topline plans for 2024-2025 projects:

Sutton Parks Team
Dawn talked us through the friends groups, tree warden sites and greenspace volunteering projects she coordinates. She outlined the activities that go on in our parks and green spaces and reviewed some of the activities in Poulter Park since 2021 including
- Community litter picks from the Baitul Futuh Mosque
- Planting and mulching our hedgerow around the orchard
- Brown hairstreak butterfly audit in Revesby Wood
- Revesby clean up day
- New fruit trees in our orchard

Wandle: River at Risk – Bobby (presenter) and Andy (producer)
Bobby and Andrew introduced the documentary film we took part in last year about the Wandle. Wandle: River at Risk.
After we watched the film, everyone expressed appreciation and Annette shared her and fellow residents’ frustrating experiences of at Ravensbury Lake in Merton.
Bobby offered to follow up with Siobhan, Merton’s MP.
